Well I cannot quite believe how swiftly this month has gone. Stating the obvious but, it's the end of January 2013 already! My one exam of the season is done and dusted so now I can only sit and wait for the marks. Last week I went back to my old secondary school to conduct a psychology project, very interesting to be on the other side of the fence, enjoying a coffee in the staffroom. It's amazing how different it felt to be there without my peers, and how much younger the lower school seemed! I am currently analysing the results from this research, into individual perception differences in children's emotional conduct, peer socialising and hyperactivity among other aspects using Goodman's (2005) Strengths and Difficulties questionnaires.
I am also just beginning my lectures for the semester on Shakespeare - an individual I (shock horror), don't particularly like or understand, although obviously he has made an enormously important contribution to English literature and the development of language around the world, so I guess I should cut him a little slack! It's still early days through my course however so I suppose I should not write it off too soon. In other news, IT'S SUNNY! Finally Swansea, South Wales has been greeted with a few rays, after weeks of greyness and drizzle. Perhaps another poem will be in order for this occasion, but for now, in my very jolly mood (the weather really does make an amazing difference!) I best get out for my lectures to sample the air.
