Swansea University Choral Society at Beach Break festival 2013
As always, time has flown by! The last six weeks since I finished exams have been filled with numerous celebrations, camping trips and panic-stricken days procrastinating about my lack of graduate employment. I had an amazing time last weekend performing with my university choir at Beach Break festival in Newquay, Cornwall for some very surprised revellers. It was a novel experience for all to have a choir at a festival, but one that went down brilliantly and was enjoyed by all participants and audience members. I will remember the weekend largely as one for listening to new music and finding some fantastic up and coming bands. Following my weekend in Cornwall, I had a quick few days back in Swansea to pack before coming home to a very busy weekend celebrating my graduation with family, friends, and a bouncy castle! I now have one week to continue panicking before I am officially an unemployed graduate! With the sun sticking around for a bit and lots of instruments on offer, I feel my time will be punctuated with creativity and exercise as I try to enjoy my freedom! I must say that I will miss the force of essays, learning and revision now, although easier said in hindsight. This blog is a creation of my memories over the last year, having been studying in Colorado exactly 12 months ago. I hope it will serve me as a reminder of my development, and perhaps will be the force of documenting for whatever career I find myself in. For now though, I must resist the temptation to ignore (harder than essays!) and go back to the job hunting. Best wishes
